The end

Cycles are inherent in nature, in us, in life, the universe, and everything. Repetition, it's how we learn, how we grow, how we evolve. From micro to macro, from breaths to lives, we repeat, tirelessly, tiredly, or merely just curiously - actually, just curiously. Because all you can think of, all that lies in the back of your mind, all it matters to; is just the end.

I keep telling myself, that it's the journey, not the destination that matters. But who am I kidding? The journey is just the search for a destination. We indulge in the search because we know that when we find it, it's done, finished, over. Scary, scary thoughts! Honestly, it's far more simple to believe in the journey, and why not? It's more eventful, more consuming, and more often than not - far more interesting than the mere conclusion. Much safer a bet than the bang or the whimper that once is, then isn't anymore.

But for once, let's not be the traveler, let's be the employer of the traveler, then, my good fellow, your journey is the collection of ends. Then what would you like your employees to believe? In their ends or in their journeys, you know the serfs, they'll never get to the end if they don't believe in their journey, the end that you need, so make them believe! It's the journey that matters, not the end. Buckle up kids! Go for the journey!

But then what about your employer?
Cycles. cycles are inherent in nature.

And then there are the fucking nutjobs like you and I, who see each cycle, and try to look beyond it... And damned be it if there isn't just a bigger cycle, and then another... Bloody depressing cyclic cycles of cycles! Which is why I keep telling you, focus on the journey dammit!

Though there's one consolation, each cycle is different, each journey is different, each end is different, at least you won't get bored trying to make ends meet. Getting bored, is a terribly boring business, and we'd rather not have any of that, and that's why we're the fucking nutjobs, because we don't want to get bored, because we desperately want the end, but never want it to come. I think that's all this love business is about, the hilarious journey where you rush towards the end, hoping, praying that it never comes. And I'm sure that's all this life business is also about, this desperate, extended foreplay.

You can't help but laugh about every cycle you see, how stupidly miserable are all those who're stuck in it. Good fodder to point and laugh at. But you know it as well, the joke's on you, come out of yourself, you're just another cycle, a fucking nutjob of a cycle. You might as well point and laugh again to avoid looking all awkward and miserable about it - smart thing to do.

It's vexing, you see it, you can't break it, if you break it, it's merely a cycle of broken cycles, what a dastardly yet ingenious scheme! Gotta hand it to whoever got the idea... No, wait, hold that thought, you know where it's going, it'll just be another one of those cycles, otherwise it wouldn't be funny enough to be true!

But you see, this is how it goes, cycles are inherent in nature, in us, in life, the universe, and everything. Repetition, it's how we learn, how we grow, how we evolve. From micro to macro, from breaths to lives, we repeat, tirelessly, tiredly, or merely just curiously - actually, just curiously. Because all you can think of, all that lies in the back of your mind, all it matters to; is just the beginning.

  1. I have myself wondered this a few times over my blogs, diaries and the likes. Everything perhaps begins, peaks and then comes to a close. The catch here, however, is that, those parts where the cycles converge, grow blurrier as the loops becoming more looming...As one cycle intertwines with another, one beginning somewhere, the other ending somewhere that you can tell, but can't exactly put your finger on, so do the journeys, the destinations. The beginnings we seek, are simultaneously, yet inconspicuously so many endings ... Oh wait! i'm going into another of those cyclic cycles! See, this is their inherent nature! One cycle will inevitably draw you into another, inevitably. A few weeks ago, i laughed as i thought to myself 'End of an ordeal, beginning of another'.
In the end, perhaps it is(it better be, I'm counting on it), one big amusing story that you look back, when indulging yourself, and tell; yourself, mostly.

In each of those cycles there are so many more inherent cycles. In each destination, a journey!
